Yvelines: he hits his ex-spouse, steals his car then escapes in full police custody

A 33-year-old man has just been sentenced to two years in prison for a series of offenses committed while he was alcoholic. During his custody


The intervention turns into a chase.

On Wednesday July 27, in the early morning, the urban security police of Élancourt (Yvelines) were called for domestic violence in Guyancourt.

On the spot, a woman explains that her ex-companion, who is also the father of her child, came to her home under the influence of alcohol.

She refused him accommodation.

The individual then allegedly insulted, threatened with death and hit the victim before stealing the keys to his car.

Quickly, the police manage to locate the stolen vehicle.

A 33-year-old homeless man is driving.

He is still drunk and does not have a driver's license.

Taken to the station, he is placed in police custody for violence, death threats and vehicle theft.

During the day, he complained of abdominal pain and of having vomited blood.

He was taken to a hospital, examined, then taken back to the cell.

In the evening, he asks again to see a doctor.

The scene is repeated but this time, the thirty-year-old manages to evade his escort.

Inside the hospital compound, he locks himself in the toilet and jumps out of the window.

The police, helped by a specialized dog, are unable to find him.

An investigation for escape is then opened.

Found climbing a building in Mézy-sur-Seine

After having surveyed all the accommodation of the relatives of the respondent, his ex-companions but also his parents, the police went to an address in Mézy-sur-Seine.

The Élancourt surveillance and arrest unit learns that a man was seen a few hours earlier climbing the balconies of the building.

Entered by breaking and entering, the SDF is finally arrested.

During this second police custody, he indicated that he had acted to avoid returning to prison.

It was without counting on the decision of the court of Versailles, which has just sentenced him to two years in prison, including 18 months firm, with a warrant of committal.
