It will be really hot again in Bavaria when the next heat wave hits the Free State.

Much more urgently it needs rain.

Munich – the start of holidays in Bavaria: while traffic is backing up on the streets and the airports are trying to get masses of holidaymakers up in the air, the summer weather catches a glimpse of air.

On the last weekend in July, from July 29th to 31st, it's quite restrained in Munich. The sun shines through a few clouds and the thermometer shows around 25 degrees.

According to the German weather service, it will be uncomfortable in Franconia, the Upper Palatinate, in Lower Bavaria and near the Alps.

Here the DWD warns of severe thunderstorms, on Sunday night there will be local heavy rain, small hail and stormy gusts of around 70 km/h.

Cham has already had a foretaste of this - the city was literally flooded after heavy rain.

After a somewhat mixed Monday, the heat is conquering the Bavarian regions again.

Weather in Bavaria: meteorologists wish for "rain, rain, rain" - but that doesn't exist

The coming week, from August 1st to 5th, will be really warm again in Bavaria.

While some are happy about the beautiful summer weather, many others are like Dominik Jung, the qualified meteorologist from

wetter.net

.

The expert's latest video is about the weather forecast for the next few days - and the warning card turns menacingly red to purple.

"It's going to be very hot again next week, but I'd like to hear something else - rain, rain, rain," Jung commented right at the beginning of the video.

The statement is unequivocal: the heat in Bavaria is continuing, the burden of drought on nature in Bavaria is continuing.

In the coming week it will be brutally hot again in Bavaria (symbol image).

Bavaria: Well over 30 degrees - hardly any rain

While it will still be around 30 degrees warm on Monday, August 1st and a few showers may fall over Munich and Bavaria during the day, it will be continuously hotter from Tuesday.

Then 34 degrees are already possible, on Wednesday the temperatures will climb up to 37 degrees, which will probably be reached in Nuremberg in particular.

It will also remain hot on Thursday, 37 degrees will probably not be reached again, but the values will remain well over 30 degrees.

Great heat, little rain - the weather is a big concern for meteorologists like Dominik Jung.

Meteorologist Dominik Jung can't get much out of it in his weather video.

"We desperately need land rain and not just the damn heat," he moans.

Jung underscores his concerns a little later in the video.

It shows how the mean temperature in summer changes steadily and increasingly.

And he refers to the amount of precipitation - in the current year it is so low that it hardly fit on the graphic shown by Jung.

The weather in August: The heat in Bavaria remains

Finally, weather expert Jung takes a look at the weather in Bavaria up to August 14th.

Here he sees a "very long heat mountain" - means a long-lasting heat wave spanning several days.

35 to 39 degrees are then possible, says Jung.

And: Still very little precipitation.
