Traffic is classified as red on Saturday in both directions and even black for the southeast quarter for departures.

Another busy weekend is expected for motorists, warns Bison Futé.

The whole of France is classified orange (difficult traffic) from Friday August 5 in the direction of departures and green in the direction of returns except for the south-east quarter placed in orange.

Saturday will unsurprisingly be the busiest day.

The whole country is classified red (very difficult traffic) in both directions and even black (extremely difficult traffic) for departures still in the south-eastern quarter.

On the other hand, the situation should be calmer for those who will take their car the next day.

Sunday 7 is mostly green except once again for the southeast quarter in orange.

The day of Saturday August 6 is classified in majority red.

smart one

In detail, Bison smart calls in particular to avoid the Toulouse Bordeaux axis and the Mediterranean rim, during the day on Friday.

The next day, at the heart of the difficulties, the organization recommends avoiding leaving or crossing Île-de-France after 12 p.m. and returning to it after 2 p.m.

For people going to Normandy by the A13, it is not recommended to drive between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Disturbances are also to be feared in the Rhone corridor, between Beaune and Lyon from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and around the Mediterranean (A7 in the morning for returns and in the afternoon for departures).

Sunday rated green

On Sunday the slowdowns will be much less numerous.

The south-west axis could experience difficulties in the direction of departures, in particular on the A20 between Limoge and Brive (from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and the A71 between Orléans and Clermont-Ferrand from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Despite the inflation that weighs on household budgets, the French have chosen the road to go on vacation.

Bison Futé reminds all motorists of the importance of adopting good habits: taking frequent breaks, staying well hydrated and not drinking alcohol.
