Lunchtime care has been available in Attenkirchen for 25 years.

In retrospect, the director was able to present spectacular figures.

Attenkirchen

– Since the 1997/98 school year, there has been lunchtime supervision for pupils in the first four grades at the Attenkirchen primary school.

25 years are enough reason to celebrate, director Hildegard Wiesner was pleased to say during a review in Attenkirchen's multi-purpose hall.

In addition, since Wiesner revealed: "I love to party and I like to prepare festivals".

Because this is much more fun in company, many parents, children and long-time companions came.

Right from the start, lunchtime care experienced an upswing: you started with twelve children, after two years 40 children were already being cared for.

And the response even increased, which is why they had up to 70 children in their care at the peak.

"I would like to thank the parents for finding their children well looked after here," said Hildegard Wiesner, summing up the quarter of a century in which lunchtime care had grown dear to her: "My small, big family".

"Seamless cooperation" between lunchtime care and school

And the family is not that small, which quickly became clear when Wiesner named every former and current supporter and gave them flowers.

The former mayor Brigitte Niedermeier was not forgotten either, nor was the current head of the town hall, Mathias Kern, who presented the ladies with "Hopfensecco" as a thank you.

Elementary school head Isabella Böhme emphasized that "there is a seamless cooperation between the lunchtime care and the school and that both form a unit".

At the anniversary celebration, Mayor Mathias Kern (2nd from left) honored the supporters of the lunchtime care: (from left) Samantha Hobmeier, Helene Felber, Head Hildegard Wiesner, Headmistress Isabella Böhme, Evi Wendl, Anita Setzer, Ana Ispas, Maria Löw and Ingrid Brandl.

More than 60 parents are currently taking advantage of the lunchtime care offer for their protégés, which is open on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (on Fridays until 4 p.m.).

In addition to eating together, homework supervision is also part of the ritual.

However, this is not a review of the curriculum, but rather qualified support in coping with homework, as children experience at home from many parents.

"Käpt'n Schisshose" enters the hearts of the guests

Leisure activities are of course an important part.

Social and group skills should also be practiced in the meaningful afternoon structure, and quiet moments are also provided.

Individual talent can be brought into the working groups “Cooking”, “Handicrafts” or “Theatre”.

And there are many great actors in Attenkirchen.

Lots of little pirates and corsairs, who boarded the stage in the play “Captain Shit on a Great Journey” and took the hearts of parents, guests of honor and classmates by storm, provided the proof.

There was a lot of applause for the 50-minute interlude, with which the ensemble led by Evi Wendl also reaped many laurels on the two-day trip to the "Bavarian Theater Days in Bayreuth".

The culinary buffet, to which many of Obazdn's parents contributed, ranging from fried plantains and Amaretto muffins to the Romanian vegetable spread "Zacusca", was entirely to the taste of the organizers: colorful and diverse - just like the lunchtime care for 25 years.
