I notice above all that his first decision is to postpone the decision, by delaying the examination of the text.
However, I had told the Prime Minister that the Senate was ready to examine and work on a text on immigration from the start of the parliamentary session.
The urgency claimed only a few days ago therefore no longer seems so urgent for the presidential majority, which we know is torn on the subject.
This postponement is in fact only the consequence of the immobility to which the Macronist “at the same time” leads on sovereign subjects.
The first five-year term was an illustration of this, the second is following the same path.
However, the government seems determined to move forward on many issues.
