Due to an acute shortage of drivers, there will only be an emergency timetable with a reduced offer on other bus lines from next week.

District of Munich

– The transport companies in the MVV area are currently struggling with an explosive personnel situation.

In order to offer passengers a plannable and reliable range of journeys and to avoid short-term failures, the following lines in the district are being switched to a so-called emergency timetable, i.e. a timetable with a reduced range of journeys:

MVV regional bus lines 217 and 259

MVV regional bus lines 217

(Unterbiberg - Unterhaching)

and 259

(Pasing - Gräfelfing - Martinsried): The range of trips on both lines will be reduced Monday to Friday from the previous 20-minute intervals to 20/40-minute intervals.

This applies for the time being up to and including Friday, August 31, 2022.

MVV regional bus line 219

MVV regional bus route 219 (Garching - Hochbrück - Unterschleißheim

Accordingly, the compressor runs of the 20-minute cycle between "Grasbrunn, Lehnerstr." and "Neukeferloh, Bahnhofstr." are omitted.

On Saturday, the range of trips will also be reduced from the existing 20/40-minute intervals to 60-minute intervals.

There are no adjustments to the timetable on Sundays and public holidays.

This initially applies from Monday, August 15th, 2022 up to and including Monday, September 12th, 2022.

: Monday to Friday between approx. 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. the range of trips will be adjusted so that the compressor trips between the two S-Bahn stops at Haar and Lise-Meitner-Str.

in Haar in both directions of travel, so that the line runs every 20/40 minutes instead of the previous 10-minute intervals, every 20 minutes, and on Sundays and public holidays instead of the previous 20-minute intervals can be served.

The timetable will not be adjusted on Saturdays.

This applies for the time being from Monday, August 15th, 2022 up to and including Monday, September 12th, 2022.

Also with the

MVV regional bus lines 231, 236 and 904

it is becoming apparent that an emergency timetable with a reduced number of journeys will be necessary.

The necessary coordination between transport companies, MVV and the district office is currently taking place.

It cannot currently be ruled out that other MVV regional bus lines in the Munich district will also switch to emergency timetables.

Passengers should therefore find out about their travel route in the electronic MVV timetable media and the MVV connection information before starting their journey.
