Drunk man beat wife driver in Causeway Bay taxi

At around 11 pm on August 3, a taxi from Tin Hau on Hong Kong Island picked up a couple to Shek Kip Mei, Kowloon.

When the taxi was passing through the Red Tunnel and the yachts would meet, the husband, who was reported to be drinking, suddenly got into a dispute with his wife, during which he shot and injured his wife.

Seeing this, the taxi driver immediately called the police, but someone found that the taxi driver called the police, that is, he beat the taxi driver, causing him to be injured in the head, covered with blood, and the blood stained his clothes.

The taxi driver immediately turned the car aside, got out of the car and fled the scene and continued to report the crime.


The police and ambulancemen rushed to the scene after receiving the report. The policemen subdued the drunk man and pressed him to the ground, and he was later detained by the police car station. The ambulancemen assisted the injured wife to board the ambulance and refused to send him to the hospital after preliminary treatment .

As for the taxi driver, he returned to the scene after the rescuers arrived. He was dripping with blood and was bandaged by the ambulance on the spot before being sent to the hospital for treatment.
