Bands and musicians from the region on the open-air stage, next to a dumpling bar, a ball pool and the new "Pepperminza" bar.

The program of the open-air festival of the subculture was widely spread.

Some musicians had to improvise when a shower paralyzed the keyboard.

Fürstenfeldbruck

– After a two-year Corona break, it was time for music and a good atmosphere in the countryside again.

At the Subkultur-Open-Air at the weekend, bands and musicians took to the microphone on the outdoor stage, including "Der chöne Pernhard", "Roots Caravan", the Augsburg band "John Garner" and "Brainscha".

In between, the team from the “Musikinitiative Subkultur” association had organized food stands – but also set up a ball pit for the youngest visitors.

Festival visitors were able to capture their memories at a photo booth.

Raphael Knipping spread the appropriate festival mood on a separate DJ desk.

"We're always happy here," said Lisa Seifert (31), singer of the band "John Garner".

Along with her bandmates, she performed on the outdoor stage on Saturday.

The Augsburg native remembered that the band "John Garner" had already performed at the Bruck slaughterhouse when they first started playing music.

“There are always cool bands and really cool people here.

That's why we were particularly happy about the invitation," said Lisa Seifert.

"You just feel comfortable."

The mood on the landing was not dampened, not even by one or the other weather-related problem: On Friday evening, the band "Der chöne Pernhard" had to spontaneously move from the open-air stage to the interior of the site: "Although it was so spontaneous, it was everything was super technically restructured," said band member Willy (31).

But once the band was safely dry, it became apparent that the rain had left its mark.

The keyboard was paralyzed.

Quick help came from the band's guitarist, Jakob Schuster.

"Since we didn't have a keyboard anymore, he just imitated everything with his mouth," said drummer Joe Kellerer (33).

The band including the audience were amazed.

Another headliner of the program had to struggle with a rain shower on Saturday evening: "We had to completely dismantle everything and set it up again," says Brainscha (26) after his performance.

But that didn't detract from the mood: "It's great how people participate."

The musician from Mammendorf said he always likes to perform at the open air of the subculture.

Like many bands from all over the district, he too had taken his first steps with Subkultur.

"In the slaughterhouse you just have a special feeling because you see so many familiar faces and friends in the crowd in front of you," said Brainscha.

A visitor to the open-air festival said: "It's just an institution here." She and her husband have seen the slaughterhouse and the subculture grow, especially because of their own children.

"Meanwhile, the open air is part of the summer for us," adds her husband.

The two of them also had a share in the success of the festival, because the "pepperminza" bar was built in their garage at home.

"We helped bring them here on their bikes," said Brucker.

In general, the couple hopes that the subculture will be preserved - the two promised with a smile to come later with their grandchildren.
