A newborn baby, about three days old, was found thrown inside a cardboard box in the center of the city of Acre.
The MDA team evacuated him to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya for medical treatment. The police began investigating the background and circumstances of the incident.
The baby was found by passers-by in the old city, near the walls, and some citizens took him to the police station.
From there he was evacuated by the MDA team in a stable condition to the hospital.

The police stated that "following a report that was received, police arrived at the scene and located the baby with the umbilical cord still attached to it. The police called welfare officials to the scene and the baby was transferred after an MDA examination to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya for further treatment."
