On the throne for 31 years, the sovereign has multiplied health problems lately: Covid, knee surgery in 2021 and respiratory problems the year before.
His condition is "
stationary
", the Palace said in a brief statement.
The king, whose functions are mainly symbolic, had also been operated on in 2003 for bladder cancer, then underwent another operation in 2005 for heart valve problems, which was replaced during another operation in 2020 .
