Rarely have large French companies recorded such strong growth in their activity and generated such generous profits in one semester.
Who could imagine such economic health when the energy crisis is in full swing, when the war in Ukraine weighs down morale and disorganizes the planet, when shortages are everywhere, and above all when populations are strangled by inflation?
We must face the facts, multinationals have largely succeeded in passing on price increases to consumers.
Inflation is a mistigri that always ends up at the end of the chain in the hands of whoever pulls his wheeled shopping bag or pushes his shopping trolley.
In a country that loves its entrepreneurs and shuns its biggest companies, there is a great temptation to tax the "superprofits" to finance the costly expenditure to support purchasing power.
