"It is a painful, thoughtful decision that I adopted a few minutes ago after thinking about it for a few days. There is no political reason at the source of this decision. They are almost all technical procedural reasons dictated by common sense".

"There are at least 4 reasons why we should vote on September 25 in Sicily - explains Musumeci - the closure of schools, lessons must be interrupted. It is one thing to do it only for September 25, another is to do it also on November 6 when the legislature expires. . We cannot afford the luxury of keeping schools closed for days. Second reason: cases of Covid contagion are growing.

Third reason - he adds - three more months of electoral campaign, means that the parties, while the electoral campaign for the national teams is about to end, must collect the signatures, prepare the lists, look for candidates, define the symbols for the regional elections.

An organizational effort that only creates disorder and does not serve the good performance of the two electoral campaigns, does not serve democracy and does not serve the participation of the people.
