The Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh hosted a signing ceremony for the short story collection “Two Hours Only” by the writer Nizar Mezher, in the presence of a number of writers and critics.
The stories of the group issued by the Syrian General Book Authority were committed to reflecting the social reality and its pain and suffering in a narrative style that combined imagination and artistic metaphors.
The critic Dr. Abdullah Al-Shaher explained in his intervention that the writer Mezher followed a scenic style, unity of idea, and commitment to the general framework in a dramatic form, which is counted for him, moving away from narration, stuffing and slouching, to link the reader with his ideas through linguistic formulations in which he relied on paradox, referring to society and its contradictions, so that love is the most important thing that he aspires to.
The writer, Dr. Hassan Hamid, saw that the writer Muzher fought loneliness and alienation and what is difficult in the current life of cruelty in dealing, pointing to the skills in stories and not being absorbed in description and freedom from his elite and progressing at a slow and confident pace within the limits of time and place with real artistry.
The writer Nizar Mezher delivered a number of his very short stories in which he relied on flash and emotion.
The signing ceremony included a group of beautiful time songs, which were voiced by singer Amal Abboud, accompanied by Jamal Soboh on the flute and for the violin, Medhat Abu Fakhr.
The writer, Rana Al-Ali, who ran the symposium, knew the participants and what they presented in the field of literature and criticism.
