The president of the UDI and former deputy Jean-Christophe Lagarde and his mother-in-law Monique Escolier-Lavail must appear on October 3 before the Paris criminal court following an investigation into suspicions of fictitious employment, a indicated Thursday, August 4 the National Financial Prosecutor's Office (PNF), requested by AFP.

Jean-Christophe Lagarde will be tried for embezzlement of public funds while Monique Escolier-Lavail, the mother of his wife, will appear for concealment of embezzlement of public funds, specified the PNF which had opened a preliminary investigation in 2017.
