Syria has expressed its condolences and sympathy to Pakistan over the victims of floods and torrential rains as a result of heavy rains that fell on scattered cities in the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement, which SANA received a copy of today, that "the Syrian Arab Republic expresses to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan its sincere condolences and sincere sympathy for the victims of floods and torrents as a result of the heavy rains that fell on scattered cities in the country, which resulted in heavy losses in lives and property."
The ministry added: The government of the Syrian Arab Republic extends its deepest condolences to the government and people of Pakistan and to the families of the victims, and wishes the wounded and injured a speedy recovery, pointing out that the Syrian government is fully confident that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the government and people, are able to overcome this painful ordeal.
During the past few days and weeks, Pakistan witnessed torrential floods caused by torrential rains and torrential rains that swept large areas of the country, killing hundreds of people and causing great material damage.
