The Valley Conference for Syrian Doctors in the Homeland and the Diaspora kicks off

The activities of the Valley Conference for Syrian doctors at home and abroad were launched today, with the participation of a large number of doctors with different specializations from the countries of America, France, Germany, Britain, the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, in addition to the participation of Syrian universities, at the Private International University of Wadi Al-Nadari in Homs.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, stressed in his speech that the conference provides an opportunity for postgraduate students, masters and doctorates, to get to know diaspora doctors with the aim of supervising their university theses, especially that the ministry’s direction today is to raise the quality of higher education and improve its quality and the quality of scientific research.

The Assistant Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Dhamiriya, considered that the scientific and civilized participation among the people of the country reflects the bright civilized face of Syria.

The President of the Valley University, Dr. Bashir Elias, pointed out that the Conference of Doctors of the Homeland and Expatriate has become an important annual tradition that the university and the Valley region celebrate because it constitutes a bridge of communication for distinguished Syrian doctors in the expatriate with our doctors inside the country with the aim of creating a scientific and cognitive situation necessary to present the latest medical developments and the most recent scientific research in the scientist.

The Chairman of the Expatriates Organizing Committee, Dr. Fayez Bitar, expressed the expatriates' happiness by continuing to hold this conference, which constitutes an opportunity for them to meet, scientific and social acquaintance, and their participation in healing the nation's wounds.

Dr. Ramez Bitar, the general coordinator of the conference, stated that the conference was launched in 2004 and continued until 2011, and the period of the war on Syria stopped, but it resumed its activities from 2019 until now, but it was held in the years 2020 and 2021 by default, through a meeting with expatriate doctors, and was devoted to the Corona pandemic, and today this conference continues with its activities and scientific activities It includes over two days 60 medical lectures.

The head of the Student Union branch at the University of the Valley, Tariq Kakhi, pointed out the scientific and social benefits that the conference achieves annually for the university and for students.

In a meeting with some of the participating doctors, Dr. Hassan Salloum, residing in America, expressed his pride as an expatriate Syrian doctor to participate in this medical conference, which has a scientific specificity, as it presents the most important new research at the international level, while Dr. Ibrahim Karam, who resides in France, expressed his keenness to participate in the conference since 2010 As for Dr. Maysoon Sankari, a resident of the Valley region, she saw the conference as a great scientific gain for doctors and for Syria.
