75 kilos of cocaine found in Northeim company

Employees of a company in the Northeim district discovered 75 kilograms of cocaine in a delivery.
The drugs come from a container in South America.
Northeim – Investigators from the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) have secured around 75 kilos of cocaine in the Northeim district.
The drug was in a container from South America that had been delivered to a company in the Northeim district, an LKA spokesman said on Friday (08/05/2022), as reported by hna.de.
On Wednesday evening (08/03/2022), employees of the company found that one of the boxes in the container did not contain the expected raw material that was to be processed in the company, but rather significant amounts of cocaine.
The company then immediately informed the Northeim police, who then turned on the State Criminal Police Office.

In consultation with the Göttingen public prosecutor, the investigators then searched a total of three containers that had been shipped from the Dominican Republic to Europe and delivered to the southern Lower Saxony company.
The company worked very cooperatively, said an LKA spokesman.
In total, the investigators seized 55 blocks of cocaine, all of which were in the box in question.
There were no drugs in the other containers.
The street value of the seized amount is in the millions.
