A 55-year-old accountant suspected of having accidentally made up the murder of her husband in Usson-en-Forez (Loire) was indicted on Friday August 5 for "

", said the Saint-Etienne prosecution.
This woman was "
placed in pre-trial detention by the judge of freedoms and detention (JLD)
" after 48 hours of police custody, said the deputy prosecutor of the Republic of Saint-Etienne, André Merle , adding that she faced life imprisonment.
The suspect, an accountant with a Saint-Etienne lift operator, had been placed in police custody on Wednesday by the gendarmerie when she left the psychiatry department of the Saint-Etienne University Hospital where she had been admitted during the night of July 19 to 20, in the hours following the tragedy.
The 50-year-old had mentioned "
an accident
" to explain the circumstances of the death of her 54-year-old husband.
