Alfons Schuhbeck (73) doesn't like it at all: The Munich I district court approved the charge against the star chef.

He is said to have evaded more than two million euros in taxes.

He's now facing jail!

Munich – Alfons Schuhbeck (73) has been closely associated with FC Bayern Munich as a cook for decades.

Schuhbeck should still know the fate of Uli Hoeneß well: In 2014, the ex-Bayern boss was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.

Because Hoeneß had evaded taxes totaling 28.5 million euros – and had to go to prison, which was almost unimaginable at the time.

Alfons Schuhbeck: Star chef in court for tax evasion

Alfons Schuhbeck could soon face a similar fate.

The public prosecutor also charged him with tax evasion.

The star chef is said to have evaded taxes of more than two million euros.

That means he probably has to go to jail.

According to a landmark decision by the Federal Court of Justice, courts should no longer show mercy if tax evaders have evaded more than one million euros.

For Schuhbeck, that means it's going to be tight, very tight.

He now needs good explanations for the financial transactions in his restaurants - such as the Orlando am Platzl.

According to the results of the investigation, accounts were deliberately manipulated there.

Schuhbeck's lawyers do not want to comment on this.

Munich: Alfons Schuhbeck is said to have evaded more than two million euros in taxes

"I can confirm that the indictment was admitted to the Munich I District Court," said court spokesman Florian Gliwitzky when asked by our editors.

The court accepted the charge by the Munich I public prosecutor's office "almost unchanged".

The trial against Alfons Schuhbeck, for which the presumption of innocence initially applies, will probably take place in October.

However, if the allegations are confirmed, the process for Schuhbeck could end as it did for Uli Hoeneß in 2014: with detention.

Alfons Schuhbeck's problems go even further.

About a year ago, parts of his company empire went bankrupt.

A new company was founded under the name "Schuhbecks Company", the investors behind it are not known.

Since then, Schuhbeck has been marketed brilliantly again, but this cannot distract from his financial problems.

Getting a grip on them will cost Schuhbeck a lot of time and energy.

The alleged tax offense may even be his freedom.
