The Bambini Choir of the Erding Parish Cäcilienverein performed the fairy tale musical “The Magic Harp”.
Not only the actors aged six to eight wowed the audience.
Erding - A spectacular and colorful performance of the fairy tale musical "Die Zauberharfe" by Wolfgang König and Veronika te Reh was shown by the Bambini Choir of the Pfarrcäcilienverein Erding in the Johanneshaus.
The play tells the story of the little fisherman Paddy (Leif Holtmannspötter, Jakob Lorenz), who lives in a village where King Donkeyking (Denise Mohr) has ordered nobody to cut their hair.
One day, against his will, Paddy is brought to the king's court to have his hair cut.
There he is to be held prisoner, because no citizen of the kingdom should find out what huge donkey's ears the king wears under his long hair.
Only through the courageous intervention of Princess Ashley (Lena Pirkert, Katharina Brandl) is Paddy released and is to keep the secret from now on.
When he entrusts himself to the magic tree and the elves living in the forest, the burden is initially taken from him.
However, he did not expect that an instrument carved from the wood of the magic tree would be presented at the annual harp competition and that Paddy's secret would be made public.
After the initial shock, however, the king is also relieved that he no longer has to hide his gigantic eavesdroppers.
Choir director Alexandra Wagner lovingly performed the piece with the six to eight-year-old girls and boys.
In addition to the acting performance of the 20 children, the musical arrangement was impressive.
Paula Nißl, Florentina Kunstwadl, Agnes Heilmaier, Rebeka Toldi and percussionist Daniel Nißl reacted sensitively to what was happening on stage and accompanied the soloists and choir with stirring melodies.
A well-rehearsed team behind the stage supported the singers and ensured that everything ran smoothly.
