The popular adventure pool Holstentherme in Kaltenkirchen introduces an energy solo.
Guests pay more from mid-August.
That's what the money should be used for.
Hamburg – Anyone who spends their free time outside in high summer temperatures can easily forget that not only food, fuel or heating are becoming more expensive in winter, but that the prices for leisure activities have already risen.
Bathing in the lake around the corner still costs nothing, but those who go to the outdoor pool these days sometimes pay higher admission prices - or have to make do with limited service.
After the outdoor pool in Wedel, the municipal pool operator Baederland has now also lowered the temperatures in the outdoor pools.
But admission prices are already rising.

Gas prices and electricity prices are rising to astronomical heights
The operator of the popular Holstentherme in Kaltenkirchen has now announced the introduction of an "Energy Solis".
The Holstentherme writes on its website that the additional funds will be used to finance a new energy concept.
Specifically, this means the expansion of the energy mix of "electricity, gas and heating oil." The extension "Paradise Island" is also to have a photovoltaic island, writes the Hamburger Abendblatt.
Holstentherme Kaltenkirchen Prices: This is how much the energy solo costs day visitors
From August 15, 2022, all adults pay an additional EUR 1.00 on the entrance fee to the Holstentherme Kaltenkirchen.
Children and young people pay half, i.e. 50 cents more.
Managing director Stefan Hinkeldey commented on the solos as follows in the Hamburger Abendblatt: "We rely on the understanding of our guests.
This is a flexible and temporary solidarity contribution.”
Arriba Bad Norderstedt will close at the end of August 2022
A comparable solo is not planned in the Arriba adventure pool in Norderstedt.
The operators are also currently excluding increases in admission prices.
But the Norderstedt swimming pool is not immune to the effects of the gas crisis.
Arriba-Bad guests already have to prepare for serious changes.
These include the closure of the sauna facilities and the early end of the season for the outdoor facilities: the outdoor area of the Arriba-Bad will be closed this year on August 31st and not on September 20th, 2022 as planned.
In other swimming pools in Hamburg, too, the interim conclusion for the outdoor pool season this year is "not great".
