The Chief Executive, Mr Lee Ka-chiu, today (5th) attended the "25th Anniversary of the Return of the People's Republic of Hong Kong" quiz competition and awards ceremony for primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. He delivered a speech in Mandarin, saying that young people are the future of Hong Kong and the future of the country, and cultivate a sense of family and country.


The Chief Executive, Mr Lee Ka-chiu, today (5th) attended the "25th Anniversary of the Return of the People's Republic of Hong Kong" quiz competition and awards ceremony for primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong.

In his speech in Mandarin, he pointed out that young people are the future of Hong Kong and the future of the country. It is an important part of Hong Kong's education policy to cultivate a new generation with a sense of family and country, and to cultivate students' national identity.


Li Jiachao also invited students to provide comments on the "Policy Address" released in October, so that the government could propose more precise measures to respond to social expectations.


Li Jiachao pointed out that such activities can enhance the younger generation's understanding of the country's Constitution and the Basic Law, understand the history and development achievements of the country and the SAR, and enhance national concepts and national identity.

Li Jiachao said that the government will work hard to unite all parties and create more opportunities for young people, calling on students to equip themselves and contribute to the country and Hong Kong.
