Russian President Vladimir Putin has banned until the end of this year any transactions with shares of foreigners from unfriendly countries in strategic institutions and companies active in the extraction of natural resources.

And the RIA Novosti news agency reported that Putin signed today a decree to implement special economic measures in the financial, fuel and energy sectors, in light of the unfriendly measures of some foreign countries and international organizations. From fuel and energy companies and banks, transactions with these shares will only be possible on the basis of a special presidential permission.
