Werner Fleschütz has been leading the Erdinger Moos singing group for 27 years.

The next term will be his last.

Notzing – Werner Fleschütz has been leading the Erdinger Moos singing group for 27 years.

At the annual general meeting in Notzing, the 42 members present re-elected him as their chairman – one last time.

Because 2024 should be over.

Fleschütz has already arranged his successor.

Vice Peter Heger then takes over.

The past two years have also been difficult times for the Singkreis, the chairman said in retrospect.

"We could only hold choir rehearsals irregularly, many events were canceled and we only had a few performances."

This was also reflected in Christina Rescher's cash report, which contained only a few items.

In 2020, cash and cash equivalents rose to around 10,000 euros, with income of just under 11,500 euros and expenses of just under 10,000 euros.

The positive trend continued in 2021.

There was income of a good 9000 euros and expenses of around 8800 euros.

Together with the approximately 4,000 euros in the savings account, the association's assets currently amount to a good 14,500 euros.

"We're in pretty good shape," emphasized Rescher at the end.

Because the children's choir director Christina Iwainski was unable to attend, choir director Josef Weihmayr also reported on the "Mooskitos".

13 pre-school children come to the rehearsals regularly: "They are a great group." Many folk songs, canons and Christmas carols were rehearsed, and early musical education was part of the program.

On May 28th, the little ones had their first big performance after a long time.

Weihmayr emphasized: “The goal is that we keep up with the youngsters and continue to develop them.

A second group may be possible at some point.”

Corona: Difficulties with the adult choir

There were great difficulties with the adult choir because of the pandemic, Weihmayr continued: “We never knew if we were allowed to sing.

And if so, under what conditions.” At the first meeting, it was like poking around in the fog.

After the restart in March, however, things got better and the active members were able to practice properly for their anniversary concert in May.

Especially new men would look good on the choir of the singing circle.

The results of the new elections were unanimous.

In addition to Werner Fleschütz, the management team for the next two years will be composed as follows: 2nd chairman Peter Heger, secretary Sabine Hiebl, cashier Christina Rescher, music administrator Josef Reiss, 2nd music administrator Irmgard Berndt, press officer Günther Pech and the assessors Barbara Breil, Claudia Birk and Lorenz Huber.
