Suspicion: A resident of Kfar Qasim connected to the electricity in a pirate way - and shut down all the businesses in the city | Israel today

A., a business owner in Kfar Qasim, says that he and business owners in the area were cut off from electricity for three days last week, and since then there has been no regular electricity in the area.

He says that he was informed by the service representatives of the electric company that someone had hacked into the board and caused heavy financial damage to the electric company due to blown fuses.

The company also claims that until that person pays, or undertakes in writing to pay for the damage, the electric company will not repair or connect the entire group of consumers to electricity.

A. wrote a letter to the electric company, in which he described how for three days the businesses were completely shut down and all the workers were sent home, for lack of choice.

In his letter, A asked why the electric company causes financial damage to the entire group of consumers, who pay for electricity consumption according to the law, while the person who caused the damage is only one person, and there is an easy way to track him down.

He also wondered why the electric company does not involve the police, if it is a criminal act.

A claims that the electric company can easily find out who those businesses are that connected piratedly and caused the damage, since the meter is registered in their name.

Instead, according to him, the electric company does not block or disconnect those business owners who consume electricity in a pirated manner - and chooses to disconnect the electricity to all consumers, comprehensively.

On Tuesday of this week, another malfunction occurred in the electricity supply, technicians from the electricity company arrived and the malfunction was repaired - however, an hour and a half later, the electricity was cut off again for a certain period of time.

The Electric Company responded: "The Electric Company contacted the police to deal with the criminal phenomenon of a pirated connection to the electric grid. This is a real danger to life."
