More than 90% of middle school students can apply for resumption of full-time face-to-face teaching after completing vaccination

The letter from the Education Bureau mentioned that secondary schools need to ensure that the employed staff have met the requirements of the "vaccine passport", and that more than 90% of the students in the school have completed two doses of the vaccine for more than 14 days, they can resume full-time face-to-face teaching. Those who have been diagnosed are not included in the number of vaccinated students in the school.

The bureau reminds secondary schools that since the number of students and vaccination status will change with the new school year, all secondary schools that intend to resume full-time face-to-face teaching must re-submit relevant applications, otherwise they will resume half-day face-to-face teaching in the new school year.

Primary and kindergarten students with low self-care ability will not arrange full-time face-to-face teaching

As for primary schools and kindergartens, the bureau stated that due to the young age of students and their low self-care ability, and the vaccination rate of the 3-11-year-old group is still low, it will not arrange full-day face-to-face classes in primary schools and kindergartens for the time being.

Primary schools can arrange for all students to return to school in the morning for no more than half a day of face-to-face classes or exams. Schools cannot arrange for the study or other activities of any individual grade student in the other half day; kindergarten full-day classes and kindergartens can arrange for children in the morning or afternoon. Return to school for no more than half a day of face-to-face classes, and do not arrange for the same group of students to return to school for study or other activities on another half day.

Individual students in primary and secondary schools are allowed to arrange extra-curricular activities for the other half of the day

If an individual student in a primary and secondary school has received two doses of the vaccine for more than 14 days, the school can arrange for the relevant students to participate in non-academic extracurricular activities after school or another half day of school, such as music, sports activities and school team training These students can also engage in some activities in school without masks, such as playing musical instruments, football and basketball.

Kindergarten students are not allowed to carry out activities without masks

The bureau said that kindergarten students are not suitable for activities that do not wear masks even if they have been vaccinated because of their low self-care ability. They generally need to take a nap and can go home to rest after school. Unless there is no one to take care of them at home, it is not appropriate to spend the other half day While staying in school for other activities, primary and secondary schools and kindergartens can still arrange for students to participate in non-academic extracurricular activities that do not require removing masks for half a day on Saturdays.
