The vigilance in the Gaza Strip continues this morning (Friday), for the fourth day in a row, and the residents of the area are preparing for a tense weekend, in which the Islamic Jihad threatens to harm them and the soldiers serving on the Gaza border. The residents, who are actually under curfew, are beginning to lose patience.
"This is a disgrace that we have reached a situation where a terrorist is arrested and the Gaza Strip is paralyzed," said Lavala Albert Gabai, a resident of Sderot. "This conveys weakness, no matter what the final result.
We are silenced.
Without launching a single rocket they disrupted the lives of the residents of the Otaf.
It's time to go on the attack." "I expect that the government ministers, regardless of whether they are right or left, will come to Otef and express sympathy and give answers to the residents," he added.
The alert in the Gaza Strip will continue this morning as well.

Last night, after a meeting with Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi, the heads of the Otef authorities also criticized the government's policy. "Citizens of the State of Israel and especially Otef residents should not be held hostage by any terrorist organization," said Mayor Sderot Alon Davidi. The government, the Minister of Defense and the Chief of Staff to attack the terrorist organizations and promises that you will receive all the backing from us. It cannot be that for three days there will be tension in the Gaza Strip, closed roads, canceled trains and businesses losing their livelihoods."
The head of the Sdot Negev Regional Council, Tamir Aidan, was also outraged by the policy: "The curfew under which the residents of the Otaf are under because of a group of terrorists is completely absurd and must end as soon as possible. I demand from the political level to give the security forces the mandate to act and inflict mortal harm on the terrorist organizations until the illusory equation is changed according to They set our agenda."

In the meantime, last night a senior member of the Islamic Jihad threatened that they are on "reaction alert".
According to him, the contacts between them and the Egyptian mediators continue, but the understandings have not yet been reached.
"The sheikh's arrest is a crossing of the red lines," he said, "the Egyptian mediator gave assurances about the sheikh's medical condition, but if Israel does not meet our demand regarding al-Saadi and Awwada, security will not return to its settlements."
Khalil Awawada is a security prisoner on hunger strike for 155 days in Israel.
