Katharina Stöckner from Reichersbeuern's biggest hobby is creating fine dishes and using them to welcome guests.

This week she can be seen on the VOX show "The Perfect Dinner".

Reichersbeuern –

Katharina Stöckner grew up cooking, receiving and entertaining guests.

"My mom is a cook, has a catering company and a wine and delicatessen shop in Lenggries," she says.

She always helped out from an early age and thus developed a big hobby out of her mother's job.

She has developed her passion for food and its preparation more and more professionally over the years.

Stöckner has now made it onto television.

On Thursday she can be seen creating a three-course meal in her own kitchen on the Vox show "The Perfect Dinner".

The show comes this week from the Oberland.

Five hobby chefs from Tegernsee and 30 kilometers around measure themselves at the stove.

A friend of her partner suggested that Stöckner was there.

"After taking part in Ninja Warrior, he was in a TV file and suggested me for the 'Perfect Dinner'," reports Stöckner.

The 26-year-old is not surprised that he came to her.

"He knows that I can cook quite well and with my lively and open nature I probably fit into such a format," says the 26-year-old.

Filming took place in May.

"It all happened really quickly.

Which was a good thing, otherwise I might have thought everything through too much,” says the woman from Isarwinkl, who is responsible for sales and marketing in a company.

Filming gave her great pleasure.

"I was really excited at first, but the team was really nice and at some point I forgot the cameras." The most exhausting day of shooting was of course the one when all the candidates came to her for the big dinner.

“The team rang my bell at 9 a.m. and the camera was already rolling by the time everyone left the house in the evening.”

Vox show "The Perfect Dinner": Great excitement before the broadcast

Stöckner was even more excited before the broadcast than before the shooting: "You never know how it will look and come across in the end," she says.

Seeing herself briefly in Monday's first episode was "terrible," she says, but laughs at the same time.

"It was like hearing your own voice on the answering machine." But Stöckner takes it lightly: "You have to be able to laugh at yourself and not take the whole thing too seriously." However, she did not expect the nasty comments , some of which she has already received on social media.

"Some have written to me on Instagram that I have a stupid laugh.

I didn't like that."

Stöckner cannot yet divulge whether she will cook up the title for "The Perfect Dinner" herself at the end of the week or whether one of the other candidates will win the race.

Her friends and acquaintances are also very excited: "I forbidden everyone to watch the Thursday episode with me, because on Friday I invited many friends and relatives to watch the episode and the Friday finale," she reports.

In return, she reveals her menu in an interview with our newspaper.

"I have combined two elements that are important to me and that I enjoy doing: regional and Italian cuisine," explains Stöckner.

She called the menu: "Servus, mi amore".

First there was the course called “I want me(e)hr”: bacon-wrapped prawns on spaghetti with mascarpone and lemon sauce, with fresh parsley and spring onions.

The main course "Now it's getting wild" consisted of a piece of saddle of venison with a herb crust, cheese dumplings, red wine and cranberry sauce and caramelized carrots.

The dessert is called “Des is da Summit” – an apple tart with nut crunch and yoghurt ice cream with caramel decoration.

Her creation was well received, says the amateur cook.

"But above all, it was a beautiful and fun evening, and that's the main thing," said the 26-year-old.

In addition to the exciting TV experience, she took something with her from participating: "We got on really well as candidates and have now become a small circle of friends."

Information about the shipment

The episode of "The Perfect Dinner", where Kathi Stöckner conjures up a menu for herself, will be broadcast on Vox on Thursday at 7 p.m.

On Friday at the same time comes the finale, which will show which of the five candidates won.
