One of the winners is 19-year-old Lin Yonglan, who was plagued by depression two years ago and chose to jump off the track to end her life.

After being rescued, her legs were amputated and she needed a wheelchair to move around, but she remained optimistic and used art to help people who are also emotionally troubled.

Lin Yonglan, who is studying in the middle school of Maryknoll Seminary School, shines in the taekwondo arena. He was named "Rising Star" when he was in his teens, but when he was 17 years old, he was troubled by depression and chose to jump off the track to end his life. Fortunately, he was rescued. On one of the nights, when taking a bus home to Kowloon Tong Station, Yong Lan jumped off the track.

Fortunately, she was rescued but lost her right eye, her face was broken, and her legs were amputated. She needed a wheelchair to move around. The treatment lasted for ten months. Lin Yonglan was fortunate to have the support of her friends and family.

"I didn't know how to share my emotions and difficulties with others before. After this incident, I learned how to share my emotions with my friends. After listening to my problems, my friends accompany me and comfort me, which makes me stronger ."

I didn't tell my family about my feelings before and now I love Lin Yonglan: my family tolerates me

Lin Yonglan said frankly that she never told her family about her feelings before, but after this incident, she felt the love of her family even more, "After the accident, I had a bad temper and often lost my temper, but my family would tolerate me. Now I have to use a wheelchair, There are many things that I can't do alone, and my family is willing to help me."

Two years later, Lin Yonglan admitted frankly that he is still learning to coexist with emotional disorders and trying to relieve his mood with meditation.

In addition, Lin Yonglan also expresses his emotions through painting: "Drawing is the most natural medium for me to express my emotions. I don't have to plan what to paint, I just paint what I feel."

Last year, he held a solo exhibition to encourage others to get out of the predicament with his paintings.

Lin Yonglan will also hold a solo exhibition in 2021. By sharing her own paintings and experiences, she encourages those who are emotionally troubled to get out of the predicament.
