Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed the need for a realistic response by the United States to Iran's constructive proposals to reach an agreement in the nuclear negotiations.
Today, during phone talks with Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Abdullahian condemned America's behavior towards China, saying, "Iran adheres to the one-China principle as a legal obligation in light of historical data and in support of the stability of the region."
Abdullahian pointed to the need for concerted efforts by Iranian and Chinese officials to follow up and implement bilateral agreements, and invited his Chinese counterpart to pay a visit to Tehran.
For his part, the Chinese Foreign Minister described Iran's positions during the nuclear negotiations as "logical and wise," expressing his hope that the diplomatic track would lead to an agreement during the negotiations in Vienna between Iran and the Four Plus One Group.
