Dietramszell – As the municipality of Dietramszell reports, the conversion of the street lighting to LED technology has now been completed.

The Dietramszell towns and districts are now illuminated with LED technology, according to the communiqué.

Similar projects have already been started in neighboring communities such as Egling and Wolfratshausen.

"The changeover has been completed in our entire municipal area."

LED lights have positive effects

According to the announcement, 78 LED lights had already been converted, but 215 technical and design lights have now been converted.

The light is aimed at the traffic area and there is hardly any disturbing lighting in the surrounding area.

In addition, the light output of the lights is reduced by up to 50 percent from 11 p.m., which has positive effects.

According to the municipality, this reduces energy consumption on the one hand and light pollution on the other.

Another advantage is the color of the light.

Since it is perceived as warm, it also helps to protect the insect world.

They would be less attracted and less stimulated to act.

Municipality of Dietramszell benefits from low energy costs

And finally, the project also makes sense from an economic point of view.

"The costs for the conversion will be financed through energy supply contracting and will be amortized in six years after a special payment has already been made." After this time, the municipality will benefit from the significantly lower energy costs.
