She claimed to be hospitalized in psychiatry even though she did not need it and, faced with the refusal by the doctor of the emergency room to which she had turned, she beat her up.
It happened last Saturday at the Carlo Poma hospital in Mantua.
The doctor reported a trauma to the arm while the patient was reported for interruption of public service.
The woman went to the emergency room saying that she had a fight with her husband and that she needed admission to the psychiatry ward because she did not want to go home.
The doctor called a psychiatrist colleague for a consultation who ruled out the need for hospitalization.
At that point the woman went on a rampage and she began to insult the two doctors.
And while the doctor accompanied her to the waiting room in a wheelchair, she tried to hit her on the head with her cane.
The doctor parried the blow with her arm, reporting a healable trauma in a few days.
The abusive patient was then calmed down thanks to the intervention of other doctors and nurses.
Last April the same doctor, also during her service in the emergency room, was hit by a punch in the face by a patient, angry because according to her, while he was waiting in the waiting room for the examination, he had been steal the slippers.
Also on that occasion the attacker was reported.
