In Blanc-Mesnil, the largest wooden housing estate in France escapes demolition thanks to an iron mobilization

More than half of the 224 dwellings in the atypical Pierre-Sémard housing estate, in Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis), were slated for destruction.


The Pierre-Sémard city will retain its hangover.

For two years, a demolition project has been agitating the residents of these buildings with atypical architecture located in Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis).

Designed in the 1970s, sprung up the following decade and completed thirty years ago, this layout of 224 housing units is the largest social housing complex in wood in France.
