As-Suwayda City Council has carried out maintenance and restoration works for a number of roads inside the city in order to improve the traffic situation on them.
The head of the city council, Eng. Samer Abu Saada, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the maintenance work included damaged sites in the north of Venezuela Street, next to the Martyr Tawfiq Mizher School, the automatic oven, in the Al-Fursan and Tarshan squares, in the electricity market, near the Finance Directorate building, the governorate building, and the pottery square towards the Water Corporation and under a bridge. Abu Saada stated that the maintenance work was funded by the governorate's independent budget, pointing out that the city council is continuing maintenance work during the coming period according to the available capabilities in a number of main and subsidiary sites on the city square.
The city of As-Suwayda recently witnessed restoration works for a number of its roads, including south of Mamdouh Nassar School and from Tishreen Square, passing through the tourist hotel towards the east to the Al-Qalaa neighborhood and from the Municipal Stadium Roundabout towards the Western Corniche to the Al-Jarrah Roundabout and from the Al-Shula Roundabout in the north to the Museum Road and from the Martyr Badi’ Nader School until Knights Square towards the hospital road.
