Many families moved to the center of the country until the anger subsides. He refused to enter the dimension: 'I fought in the cheek'"

A particularly tense night passed for the residents of the south and especially for the residents of the surrounding area.

"We didn't sleep much, lots of vigilance - that's how an operation or a round starts," says Yifat Ben Shoshan from Netiv Hatara in a conversation with "Israel Hayom".

Also this morning, the residents of the surrounding area had to run to the protected areas.

"The feelings are that the wait from Tuesday morning paid off for us. Beyond the fact that we were less exposed to dangers, we understand that it will take a little more time and that requires more patience on our part. We will wait as long as it takes," says Ben Shushan.

According to her, the residents of Otef have patience, "even if it ruins the summer and the holiday a little, we hope that after this operation we will know that some more dangers no longer exist. I hope for our children that we will soon return to a safe routine", she said.

Like many others in the surrounding settlements, the Ben Shushan family is also considering leaving the area until the anger passes.

"Today we will consider going to our family in Sharon. We will see how the day will develop, hear the estimates - and decide."

Other settlements in Otef remained half empty.

"The kibbutz is already half empty, about 55 percent of the residents of the kibbutz have already left," says Ofer Lieberman of Nir Am, after another sleepless night.

"We couldn't sleep, until 12:30 at night there were alarms, after that it was relatively quiet for a few hours until 2 in the morning and then again at 6 in the morning it came back. My family is still here, we are not leaving."

The closure that has been in place for the past few days is now understandable, and Lieberman, like many residents of the area, supports the operation.

"Obviously we are in favor. From our point of view, we are happy that there was an initiative by the IDF and the State of Israel.

It can't be that we lived in some kind of voluntary quarantine for three days.

And only on threats only.

The time has come for us to take the initiative and not be dragged along.

We don't know when it will end but we support as long as it takes.

It's good that we took the initiative."

"we didn't sleep at night"

Even in Sderot, the night was longer than usual, without hours of sleep and mainly trying to cope with the situation.

"We didn't sleep at night. Come sleep here and you'll understand what it's like," says S. mother of three.

"Everyone has their own struggles, the situation is ridiculous, you can't sleep for more than an hour and a half straight. We didn't feel like it was going to calm down - for four days we were in tense anticipation, I have gut feelings and experience that teaches me - that it won't just be (the closure before the operation), it's not Easy, we just started shooting but if we have to leave, there is somewhere to go but right now we are staying. We have three children who were born into this situation, we obey orders and don't watch news at home. When you both live it, and watch it, you enter another war So we try to change the atmosphere, play games, listen to music, watch movies and cook delicious food."

"The boy refused to enter the MMD without the cat"

But not only the residents of the Otaf entered the protected areas this morning.

"The alarm at Modi'in caught us each in our own affairs a little after the late breakfast," said A, resident of the city, father of 3.

"We also hosted my wife's 90-year-old father who worked in the yard. When I heard the alarm, I called my wife and two daughters to enter the emergency room.

My wife ran to the yard to call her father and he refused to enter.

On the other hand, my older son, 13 years old, remembered our cat 'Pitch' after he had already entered the nursery and wanted to get out. The little one started crying from the pressure and I struggled between the two of them. After 10 minutes we left the nursery and I asked my father-in-law why he stayed outside - so He answered: 'I was in Lehi - no one will bomb me. Now the IDF is strong, it will crush them.'

So it's hard to convince a seven-day old person, but since we're not that used to alarms - this one in particular didn't go so smoothly for us.

Now, thank God, everyone is calm and the cat has also entered the house just in case."
