Ile-de-France has around 200 million trees of very diverse species.
The capital alone lists 500,000: 200,000 planted in its streets, of 160 different species, and 300,000 in the Bois de Vincennes and Boulogne.
In the shade of remarkable trees – 80 of them in Île-de-France, including 15 in Paris, labeled by the Trees association – we most often come across five particularly widespread species without paying much attention: the plane tree, chestnut, lime, maple and sophora.
