In the shadow of Operation "Dawn" which will continue tomorrow (Sunday) into its third day, the Home Front Command publishes instructions and answers to questions on a variety of topics related to civil defense.
Which areas are defined as "in a special situation"?
According to the Home Front Command, there are currently special instructions for the area surrounding Gaza, the Western Negev region, the central Negev, as well as western Lakish and Kish.
What is happening in the rest of the country?
The areas beyond the area surrounding Gaza are normal, but rockets have already reached Tel Aviv and other cities.
That is why it is appropriate to remain attentive to the various warnings and alarms and act according to the need.

There is an alarm in my area, what do I do?
First you need to remember that there is time between the alarm and the fall to hide or reach a protected space.
This time will allow you to reach a shelter or find a protected spot in the space you are in to kneel by it and hide.
I'm in a large residential building without MMD. What to do?
Enter the stairwell and sit on the stairs. If it's a building with more than three floors, sit on the stairs that have two floors above them. In a three-story building, sit on the middle stairs.
I'm in a cottage or an old house without an air conditioner.
Do you not have an air conditioner?
Sit in an interior room with as few exterior walls as possible and sit below window height.
And not in front of the door.
Do not hide in the bathroom or kitchen.

I'm outside and I have nowhere to run. There is no building in my area.
You must lie on the ground with your head protected by your hands.
I'm in the car, what to do?
There's an alarm and you're in a car and there's no shelter or EMS nearby - stop it safely on the side of the road and lie down in a space away from the vehicle in a ditch next to the road. You're in a place where you can't lie down outside, stop the car on the side and lie down in it under the level of the windows.
I'm on the bus during an alarm, what should I do?
If You are in the city, the driver will open the doors and you will go out in an orderly fashion to hide in a nearby building. Is there no nearby building or are you on an intercity road? Then the driver will pull over, open the doors and everyone will lie down under the window line.

I'm on the train, what do we do?
Lie under the window line and protect your head with your hands.
What do you not do when there is an alarm?
Not running!
but go quickly and without sense.
Many Israelis have been injured in the past day by running in panic after an alarm.
This situation is even more true if you are in the synagogue due to mourning Tisha B'Av or another event.
