Police again give tips on correct behavior
Referring to this current case, the Bad Tölz Police Inspectorate once again points out to be extremely skeptical about such news.
As a check, you should always try to contact the relatives using the old cell phone number or other contact options (other messenger services, e-mail or landline).
Money should never be transferred without verification.
If in doubt, you can call the Tölz police at any time on 0 80 41/76 10 60 and ask them for advice.
The man is not the only victim of con artists in the southern district in recent days.
After a perfidious shock call, an elderly woman handed cash and valuables worth over 60,000 euros to a stranger at the front door.
