The second crowdfunding campaign for the hands-on workshop "Nail and Thread" has started.

This time a new heater is on the wish list.

Geretsried – It worked once before.

Now the non-profit association "Nagel und Faden" is trying again to generate donations through a crowdfunding campaign.

After the start of the hands-on workshop was made possible with the financial injection in 2021, this time a new heater is on the wish list.

"The installation of the heating will largely be done on our own and on a voluntary basis," says Nicole Ebner on behalf of the association.

However, financial support is required for the purchase of materials and tools.

For this reason, the founding team launched a crowdfunding campaign together with the Raiffeisenbank Isar-Loisachtal.

An amount of 10,000 euros is advertised as the financing goal, which will be collected in the two-month financing phase.

From now on, supporters can donate to the hands-on workshop.

As is usual with crowdfunding campaigns, the founders only receive the amount of money if the desired amount is reached - otherwise the money goes back to the supporters.

Amounts in excess of the donation goal also benefit the association.

The "Nail and Thread" association, founded in 2021 by citizens from Geretsried and the surrounding area, offers space, equipment and support for DIY, repairing and reusing.

Ebner: "This offers a wide range of participation, across generations, non-profit and sustainable." 100 courses and events have already been organized since it was founded.

“It is also a wonderful place of togetherness”

The wood and textile workshop has been realized, a repair meeting place, a children's workshop and a meeting place have been created.

In the open hands-on workshop of "Nail and Thread" there are not only machines and tools to make yourself.

"It's also a wonderful place for togetherness," says a press release.

“There is lifelong learning, hands-on experience, intergenerational exchange and endless opportunities.

For everyone who doesn't have the opportunity at home or who prefers to work with others." red

By the way: everything from the region is also available in our regular Wolfratshausen-Geretsried newsletter.
