"Tutzinger Lichtblicke" is the name of the new exhibition in the Tutzinger local museum.

The pictures show how gifted the place on the lake is.

Tutzing

- "We are right in the middle of life," said Mayor Marlene Greinwald happily when she and her deputy and cultural advisor Elisabeth Dörrenberg opened the new exhibition in the local museum in Tutzing on Thursday evening.

She meant the exuberant summer life in the Thomapark with the many bathers and playing children who are obviously enjoying the start of the holiday.

First of all, the view fell on the lake and not on the former school building, in which the local museum is located.

The old school floor now serves as an outdoor patio, a reminder of how small the classrooms were back then.

60 children sat there, which is hard to imagine today.

The exhibition is called "Tutzinger Lichtblicke".

Introducing the photographer Gisela Hummel, who has been associated with the place since she opened her podiatry practice there in 2005.

She has lived in the Seegemeinde since 2011 and goes to the lake every morning at 6 a.m., in winter as well as in summer, and takes pictures.

It goes without saying that the trained druggist, whose training at the time also included photography, now had to choose the photos for her exhibition from the more than 5,000 pictures that have since been taken.

The result is impressive.

The "Tutzinger Lichtblicke" are far more than just weather and mood-related highlights of the lake community, they stand for, as the artist says, "almost mystical" diversity of the lake, which "always allows such wonderful moments to flash".

Peaceful moods, black storm clouds

Banks of cloud become the main protagonists of the picture behind moored sailing boats, the east bank is completely black in the morning glow, the sky glows blood-red, and in the foreground are the fishermen's boats, their nets and fishing rods pointing towards the sky.

There are very nice moods, the kind that the locals know and love and that show the many tourists during the holiday season what a gifted area they are vacationing in.

The mood is peaceful when ducks and swans circle, even black storm clouds over green-golden water do not herald evil, but beauty, the water splashes of a bow wave glitter like silver and the red autumn beeches on the lake shore shine majestically.

Tutzing shines.

The exhibition “Tutzinger bright spots.

Moods at the lake photographed by Gisela Hummel" can be seen in the local museum in Tutzing (Graf-Vieregg-Straße 14, Thomaplatz) until April 2, 2023.

It is always open on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Groups and school classes by appointment.
