In autumn one must expect a “complex infection process”.
Munich – In order to prepare for the coming flu season, Bavaria is getting 100,000 additional doses of vaccine.
According to Bavarian Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) on Sunday in Munich, experts assumed that a corona wave and an influenza wave could coincide in autumn and winter.
"We have to reckon with a complex infection process."

According to the ministry, the Bavarian pharmacies should distribute the additional vaccine to doctors in the Free State as soon as it becomes apparent that regular vaccine orders will be delayed - but no earlier than mid-October.
Bavaria's Minister of Health emphasized that the flu vaccination can be given at the same doctor's visit as a booster vaccination against Corona.
The chronically ill, pregnant women and those over 60 should be vaccinated against the flu.
