The Harmatinger Trachtler celebrate their 90th anniversary - among other things with a big parade.

Egling – It was April 12, 1932 when a couple of boys founded a traditional costume association in Harmating.

Until then they had called themselves "Plattlergruppe Schloßbergler Harmating", now they were officially called "Trachtenverein Schloßbergler Harmating".

That's 90 years ago.

The Trachtlers, who still bear this name today, will celebrate this appropriately.

What sounds so simple turned out to be complicated in reality.

As early as 1919, i.e. after the end of the First World War, farmhands from the surrounding farmers wanted to found a traditional costume association called “Trockentaler Reichertshausen” in the Pfarrl – as Moosham was then called.

But that failed because of the money.

In 1930, a couple of boys got together who enjoyed record and rehearsed in the Kastenmüller inn – today Hansch.

However, there were disputes with the motorsport club "Frei Weg", which also had its clubhouse there.

"The zeal was great," reports Chairman Benedikt Walch.

A few months after it was founded, in January 1933, the members decided to get a flag.

The Thanninger pastor, who was skeptical about the issue of traditional costumes, rejected the consecration.

So the approval was obtained from the professorship in Munich, because there was a charity in Harmating.

The flag consecration day, May 20th, was the only nice and dry one of the whole month, which the members took as a good omen.

The neighboring association, the “Wendlstoana Thanning”, took over the sponsorship.

The Second World War meant a turning point for the Schloßbergler

The Second World War meant a turning point for the Schloßbergler.

Six members fell and club life came to a standstill.

In 1945, Franz Thalhammer obtained permission from the American military government to resume operations.

In 1948 they took part in the 21st Loisachgau Festival in Wolfratshausen and received the top prize.

Theater was also performed again, including plays such as "The Dashing Berliner" (1950) or "The America's Sepperl" (1951).

The festival program

Friday, August 12: Beer tapping with "Bernblech", beginning at 7 p.m.

Saturday, August 13: Wine festival with the "Isarkrainern", organized by the Moosham boys' association, starts at 7 p.m

Sunday, August 14th: 90th anniversary celebration with pageant.

Reception of the clubs at 8.30 a.m., procession with church service at 10 a.m.

The Trachtler experienced golden years in the 1970s.

The number of members increased steadily, traditional costume balls took place every year, and the events in and outside the district were well attended.

But the ravages of time gnawed at the old flag.

After almost 60 years, the people of Harmating decided to buy a new one.

Edith Holzheu was chosen as flag bride and Helga Wild as flag mother.

The consecration was the highlight of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the celebrations in 1992.

Costume changed in 1994: now black ties instead of crape

The costume changed in 1994: black ties were now worn instead of the rope.

Two years later, a blouse dirndl replaced the Spenzer worn before.

In the same year, Josef Walch organized the popular "Kirtahutschn" at Zellmoar in Moosham for the first time.

The 2013 Gaufest deserves a special mention. "It was the most outstanding event in our history," says the chronicle of the Loisachtaler Gauverband.

Many visitors still remember the political panel discussion shortly before the state elections, the impressive procession and Pastor Gerhard Beham's 25th anniversary as a priest.

A special achievement was the detailed replica of Harmating Castle. The building that once gave the Schloßbergler their name.

Bar service from 9 p.m. throughout the weekend

The program starts on Friday with the traditional beer tapping.

The evening will be musically accompanied by the brass band "Birnblech", starting at 7 p.m.

On Saturday 13th August the Moosham lads' club will host a wine festival.

The "Isarkrainer" play for young and old. Start: 7 p.m.

The founding festival represents the main act of the festival weekend. It takes place on Sunday, August 14th.

The surrounding local and village associations are invited with their respective board of directors and a flag delegation.

The club reception is scheduled for 8:30 am.

The church procession begins at 10 a.m.

The traditional costume parade takes place after the festival service.

After returning to the marquee, the Ascholding brass band entertains the festival guests.

The bar will be open from 9:30 p.m. throughout the festival weekend.
