Because of cold fries: a McDonald's employee was shot to death Israel today

Matthew Webb, 23 years old from New York, was shot to death by the son of a customer who was angry because, according to her, the fries she ordered were not hot enough.

The reason for the murder: cold chips.

Matthew Webb, a 23-year-old McDonald's employee from Brooklyn, New York, died of his injuries after he was shot to death by the son of a customer who complained that the fries she was served at one of the fast food chain's branches were not hot enough.

The local police reported that the killer, Michael Morgan (20), entered the branch last Monday and confronted Webb, who was manning the reservation desk at the time.

The killer's mother, it was reported, complained about the cold fries to Webb and argued with him.

The mother claimed that she demanded to speak to the branch manager, but the staff laughed at her.

She then called her son, who arrived at the restaurant, shot the seller in the neck, gave the gun to his girlfriend and fled the scene, but was eventually captured by the police.

Webb died in the hospital a few days after being hit, and the news of his death was published in the American media over the weekend.

"We are shocked and heartbroken by the death of one of our staff as a result of this senseless act," said the manager of the McDonald's branch where the murder took place.

"We will continue to cooperate with the law enforcement authorities as much as necessary."

During his investigation, Morgan admitted to shooting Webb - and even admitted to committing another act of murder about two years ago, when he shot a 28-year-old man named Kevin Hollomon outside a residential building.

The two incidents happened a few blocks apart, and now Morgan is expected to stand trial for the two shocking cases.

Also, Camelia Dunlap (18), the killer's girlfriend, is charged with illegal possession of a weapon.

It should be noted that this is not the first time in recent months that an employee of a fast food chain has been shot dead because of a "problematic" dish served to a customer.

Last June, as you may recall, a Subway employee was murdered in the state of Michigan after a man complained about too much mayonnaise in his sandwich, and decided to vent his frustration on the unacceptably miserable facts of the place.
