The new short story collection by the writer Maysa Naama combines reality and imagination, and through it she expresses her experience of the concerns of society in its various forms in a narrative and spontaneous manner that adopted the transformed event in an artistic way from the beginning of the stories to its end.
In the anecdotal collection, the ostrich denounces alienation and emigration to the homeland, no matter how hard and difficult a person encounters, expressing this in her story “My Mother’s Coffee”, which expresses the value of the mother and the difficulty of leaving her and staying away from her and the need to bear all hardships and troubles in order to hold on to the land and the homeland.
The writer Naama recorded in her group the misery and torture of Palestinian children through the story “A Child of Resistance”, in which she spoke about a girl whose family was killed and who remained alone to come to Syria and live with her aunt after all her family members were martyred so that the reader would follow a sad follow-up with the moving structure of the event.
The group issued by the Scheherazade Publishing and Distribution House, in which the writer addresses in a symbolic way many of the issues that the cultural invasion is trying to cause, as stated in the story “Electronic Lie” and “The Excommunication of a Body”, through which she adhered to the language and the interesting artistic style of the story.
