Today, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli violations of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, allowing extremist settlers to storm the mosque and violating its sanctity, warning of the consequences of the continuation of these violations and calling for their immediate halt.
The Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted the ministry’s spokesperson, Haitham Abu Al-Ful, as saying today that “the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the provocative practices against it are a condemned and unacceptable aggression and a flagrant violation of international law and the historical and legal situation in Jerusalem and its sanctities,” stressing that the violations and continued attacks on holy sites represent a dangerous and absurd act. Irresponsible exacerbates tension and pushes the situation into a continuous cycle of violence, stressing the need to stop all measures aimed at changing the existing historical and legal situation.
Hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque earlier today, under the protection of the occupation forces, which were deployed in the Old City of Jerusalem and the roads leading to the mosque and at its doors, and set up several barriers to obstruct Palestinian access to it.
