Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Miqdad, received a phone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian, during which they discussed the crimes committed by the forces of the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The two sides expressed their country's full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of Zionist aggression and their firm stances towards the Palestinians' right to restore their legitimate rights, stressing the need for the international community to play its real role in lifting injustice against the Palestinian people and protecting them from the Zionist machine of destruction.
Minister Miqdad stressed that Syria continues to support and stand by the Palestinian brothers who defend their right to life and freedom, pointing out that the inaction of the international community in the face of these attacks and the unlimited US support for the usurping Zionist entity pushes this entity to continue its brutal crimes and the practice of terrorism against the owners of the land.
Minister Miqdad stressed that everything that is currently happening in the Palestinian territories requires from the Palestinian brothers more work to achieve unity of ranks and decisions at the national level and in front of the international community. And isolate (Israel) on the regional and international arenas.
In turn, Minister Abdullahian affirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the Palestinian people against this aggression, pointing out that the axis of resistance continues to support the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people against the Zionist entity.
Abdullahian noted the unity of the Syrian and Iranian stance towards the Palestinian issue and other crucial issues of concern to the two friendly and brotherly countries, stressing that the quest continues to enhance cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
