The paralysis of the lower left limb that afflicted Munir Fahd from As-Suwayda Governorate in the early months of his childhood did not stand as an obstacle to his will to prove himself in society and crown his life experience three years ago by launching a micro-project for the production of honey.
Munir, 58 years old, told SANA reporter how he overcame his disability, starting with continuing his studies and obtaining an industrial secondary certificate, as a lathe and leveling craft, and then joining the job as a mechanic in the Department of Warehousing and Marketing previously, i.e. what is now called after the merger with the branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation.
Mounir, who has been self-reliant since his youth, explained that his experience with his micro-project started with one beehive until it gradually expanded and produced more than 50 kilos of honey annually, which constitutes an additional source of income for him to support his family's livelihood.
Mounir, who believes in the slogan of producing energy from disability, pointed out the importance of the support he receives from his wife and one of his friends to continue his project and his ambition to expand it further during the coming period, pointing out that despite his health conditions, he bottles and markets honey based on requests submitted to him or through participation in exhibitions, especially those related to Including people with disabilities in addition to e-marketing.
Mounir called on every person with disabilities to rely on himself through work and production to dispense with asking for help from anyone, based on the importance of work that enhances the human position and his presence in society.
Munir, according to the head of the administrative committee of the branch of the Syrian Association for the Physically Handicapped in As-Suwayda, Nizar Shujaa, a struggling man who challenged his disability and effectively proved his presence in the community and gained the respect of his surroundings.
