The
mother
of
Alice Scagni
, the 34-year-old woman
killed
by her
brother
Alberto, 42, on the evening of 1 May last in
Genoa
, wrote a hard letter to the prosecutor of the Ligurian capital in which she asked to divulge the phone calls in which the family they asked for help to cure Alberto.
The
letter
was entrusted to the Secolo XIX, La Stampa and the Republic edition of Genoa.
"I have seen in an overbearing and ruthless way the
disease
arise in Alberto and progress in an inexorable way fueled by the love he had for his sister with whom he had always had a special relationship. I tried in all the ways I knew to stem that disease that frightened me more and more until I no longer recognized my son. We looked for help in the institutions. We came across a cold and ignorant
bureaucracy
. Indolent but arrogant in its repeated and lazy refusal to take on its role of guarantee and help towards citizens in difficulty ", writes
Antonella Zarri
, mother of Alice and Alberto.
"We asked who had and had the power to stop him and cure him. Those phone calls were recorded and are in the file. Why are you denying them?"
The prosecutor replies: "We will give the files later. Now the investigation is on other aspects".
"The
procedure
is
against unknown persons
, they tell me - says the woman assisted by the lawyer Fabio Anselmo - but I know perfectly well who the unknown are, I remember them well one by one. I know that this could allow them to remain open in limbo for years . Is the investigation on other aspects? Perhaps my daughter Alice was killed by others and not by her brother? I say as a mother whose two children were killed: have the courage to make public the dramatic dialogue of a parent who invokes I desperately help knowing that his own son, delirious, crazed, is about to kill his sister, and the police answer. Or maybe someone's shame must be protected? "
