Yehudit Ravitz will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from AKUM, we were informed just before the battles in the south. The award will be given to a successful list of artists, and yet Ravitz is a little different. Not because of the sound of her bells, although it is clear and great, not because of the wonderful melodies she wrote, and she wrote Not even because she is one of the artists I have seen on stage the most in my life.
It is customary for the Akoum members to perform a song at the ceremony. Ravitz will probably give up. She has not opened a box office for six years, does not guest at friends' concerts, and does not sing on radio and television programs. Ravitz has not stopped creating, God forbid: she released the song "Tar Lech", participated In Yoni Rechter's children's album, and on social networks, she shares videos and performances from the past, and beautiful animated clips of them she contributes her voice to. But meeting us, the thirsty audience - it's not. I don't know what made one of my favorite singers "take a break", like as defined by the people who surround her, but six years is a bit too long a break.
So I take advantage of this stage to call: Bayiat Yodit, come back to perform!
One of the reasons you are one of the artists (both female and male) I have seen the most times in concert is that you are simply great live.
Your musicianship is outstanding, the energy is precise, and the delivery, oh the delivery... I always thought you were one of the most exciting performers to come up in Israel and the world.
You sing your own songs perfectly, of course, and other people's songs also become yours in your mouth - as if they had never been performed in any other way.
My experience, as a spectator in the audience, who gets to see all this happen before my eyes, was simply a pleasure that, as mentioned, I repeated again and again and again.
If there are concerns about concrete matters, I am here to announce that every problem has a solution: a writer about Barbra Streisand who stopped performing because she started forgetting the words to the songs, but today there is a screen.
There are singers and singers who are not always accurate in their tune - for this reason, Auto-Tune was invented, a software that corrects the sound before it reaches the ears.
If you're afraid you won't be able to fill Caesarea again (of course you will!) - we'll come to small clubs, Zappa Haifa or Gray Bihud, we'll reach as it says: 360 men and women, and if that's too much, Tsvata 2 has 100 places to fill.
If you need moral support, I can think of several singers that I'm sure would be very happy to go on a joint tour with you - old partners Gidi Gov, Yoni Rechter and Nurit Galron, for example, or young creators who are just waiting for you to call them, like Karolina, Shlomi Shaban, Rona Kenan, or Nuno.
I (you can say we) would be so happy for you to return to the stage, we will help in any way you want.
