The patrols of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa organized, during the month of July, 75 catering seizures against violating activities.
And the director of internal trade, Dr. Yahya Abdullah, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the violations were distributed among the non-publication of prices, circulation of irregular purchase invoices, selling at an excessive price, not declaring a fee for services, trading in fuel, and violations of the work of bakeries, pointing out that the Directorate received six complaints that were addressed within applicable laws and regulations.
Abdullah explained that consumer protection patrols withdrew from the market last month 11 samples of foodstuffs, one of which showed a violation, and 6 conformed to the Syrian standard specifications, and the rest is under analysis.
Abdullah pointed out that the sums of money collected as a result of settlements on organized seizures amounted to 3.5 million pounds last month, while the owners of violating fuel stations were fined for disposing of materials subsidized by the state or monopolizing gasoline and diesel materials with the intention of trading, as well as fines for owners of private bakeries due to lack of weight. Bread bundles, with a total amount exceeding 524 million Syrian pounds.
